  • Responsibilities

    Provide support for Modular Mission Computer (MMC) Operational Flight Program (OFP) development in the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF) at Hill AFB, Utah. Duties include:

    • Debugging using Green Hills Multi / AdaMulti tools.
    • Target environments will be embedded MIPS and Power PC based flyable hardware as well as a simulated Solaris or Linux environment for desktop testing. [MIPS (an acronym for Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages) is a reduced instruction set computer (RISC) instruction set architecture (ISA) developed by MIPS Technologies (formerly MIPS Computer Systems)].
    • Maintain code and documentation within established configuration management systems: GIT and Dimensions.
    • Participate in Peer Reviews of documentation and code.
    • Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain a secret clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or technical related discipline.
    • Code development in one of the following software languages: C++, C, C# , Ada, or Assembly.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • The following skill are desired but not required:
    • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile.
    • Object-Oriented Design (OOD) software development familiarization.
    • Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling tools to develop software.
    • Basic Linux or Unix command knowledge.
    • Software configuration tool knowledge.
    • The following are desired but not required:
    • Software Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool experience.
    • Software code experience with Ada.
    • Experience with developing F-16 or other USAF fighter aircraft avionics software.
    • Software development and debugging using Green Hills IDE tools.
    • Kennedy-Carter UML software modeling experience.
    • GIT software development configuration experience.
    • Rhapsody UML modeling experience.
    • Software Requirements traceability database tool experience.
    • Dimensions configuration management tool experience
