    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Follow written work instructions that describe how to develop code and how to unit test. Participate in the development of test plans and procedures for system software. Run tests designed to verify system software operations and document results. Follow written and verbal directions.

    U.S. CITIZENSHIP STATUS IS REQUIRED AS THIS POSITION NEEDS AN ACTIVE U.S. SECURITY CLEARANCE AS OF DAY ONE OF EMPLOYMENT.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Formal coursework/training in higher level languages (C, C++, Java).
    • Interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
    • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Assembly, C/C++ programming, structured programming concepts.
    • Object-oriented design and Unified Model Language knowledge.
    • Statistical and numerical methods knowledge.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

    • Junior, Senior, or Post-graduate level standing in one of the following: E.C.E, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Math or Physics (or other hard science) with a Minor in Computer Science.

    DESIRED EDUCATION:

    • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
    • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired

    CLEARANCE:

    This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
