    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Co-op, Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Structures Business Unit organization. The successful candidate should plan to work full time during the Spring semester (January-May 2024).

    Essential Functions to include:

    • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
    • Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
    • Support manufacturing of composite structures
    • Resolve production issues in processes by working closely with manufacturing personnel
    • Support root cause and corrective action
    • Author, modify, and audit procedures
    • Be part of an Integrated Product Team

    Basic Qualifications for a Co-op, Manufacturing Engineer

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    • Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
    • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
    • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2024
    • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) fromJanuary-May 2024

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
    • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities

    Intern Pay Range:

    • [Bachelor’s]: $20.25 to $25.00
    • [Master’s]: $29.75 to $31.25
