  • Responsibilities

    As a member of the C-130J Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Department, the Maintainability/Diagnostics Health Management Group develops products related to the maintenance of the C-130, C-5, and P-3 aircraft. The selected candidate will support development of the C-130J Maintenance Management Systems (MMS), Data Transfer and Diagnostic System (DTADS), development/revision of detailed aircraft system fault isolation data for the C-130J/C-5 aircraft, and development/revision of detailed scheduled maintenance plans for the C-130/C-5/P-3 aircraft.

    The selected candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn and apply basic systems engineering practices to assigned tasks. Assigned tasks will include: following established processes and procedures, maintaining configuration control of products, and supporting product delivery within schedule and budget constraints. The selected candidate will function as part of a team that involves performing required system testing (lab and/or aircraft environment).

    • Additional responsibilities include addressing customer questions.
    • Candidate will be required to work overtime as required to meet scheduled deliveries while requiring minimal direction in accomplishing assigned tasks.
    • This position may require occasional travel to supplier and customer facilities.
    • Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    DESIRED SKILLS: 

    • Possesses limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.
    • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established procedures with work closely supervised.
    • Excellent communication skills; including technical writing skills.
    • Experience utilizing the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to learn and apply basic systems engineering practices to assigned tasks.
    • Experience with database file manipulation.
    • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and be able to excel in a team environment.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of technical manuals and/or work instructions.
    • Experience with aircraft flight line maintenance environment and practices is a plus.
    • Electrical/Avionics system operations on military/civilian aircraft is preferred.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline.
    • Must be a US Citizen; this position requires a government security clearance.  This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
