Software Engineer Intern
SED is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, test and validation activities for these systems within IDS. We provide engineering design processes, standards and test expertise to Raytheon's current programs, along with new system technology development. We ensure that our customers' requirements are implemented, tested, validated and integrated into deployed systems throughout the world.
Job Description:
Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) is a Combat Management System protecting the US Navy ships against hostile threats. Raytheon maintains the large software baseline and upgrades the software new and updated US Navy Ships. The internship project includes implementing frameworks and scripts for automated software test of a portion of the SSDS software baseline using Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Automated Test Software product(s).
This project will require working with software development teams, software test teams and software configuration management to understand the goals and challenges for implementing AT on SSDS. The project will also include other smaller tasks to develop software tools to improve the efficiency of the ongoing SSDS Software Development and Maintenance activities. Tasks include writing scripts for multiple different tools for software testing at different levels (i.e., Unit Test, Component Test and System test). Integrate the tools with existing software tools such as Clearcase and Rationale Team Concert.
