    The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.

    This position is for an electrical engineer to work in the Hardware Engineering Center of Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. The person hired for these positions will work in the EO Products and McKinney Manufacturing (EOPM2) Department working on Electro-Optic and/or Radar hardware products. This entails working in multi-disciplined, multi-functional integrated product teams to either design, develop, manufacture and/or sustain complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and/or land-based military applications.

    Activities may include one or more of the following: detailed RF/Analog/Digital design, component obsolescence trades and resolution updates, production support, supplier collaboration to resolve hardware non-conformances and/or product sustainment. Specific tasks include circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification. Integration and test of Electronic Analog & Digital components and modules at the System level may also be required.

    U.S. CITIZENSHIP STATUS IS REQUIRED AS THIS POSITION WILL NEED A U.S. SECURITY CLEARANCE WITHIN 1 YEAR OF START DATE.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Engineering curriculum in the fields of Analog and/or Digital Electrical Engineering
    • Hands on lab experience in analog, and/or digital electronics
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering as well as EE lab equipment
    • Experience with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test
    • U.S. Citizenship is required
    • Ability to access US only data systems

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Experience and or familiarity with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools
    • Familiarity with Xilinx development tools
    • Experience with JTAG boundary-scan testing.
    • Experience with schematic capture, VHDL design/HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test
    • Software skills with C, C++ Visual Basic, and/or assembly languages.
    • Experience in cost account management and cost estimation, and engineering planning (IMP/IMS)
    • Knowledge of CMMI
    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

    • Must have a BS / BA with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
