    The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.

    The person hired for this position will be in the EO Space &Power Products Department, and will work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications. Activities and tasks include circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation, construction of breadboards, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at circuit board and/or System levels.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Electrical engineering experience with an emphasis in Analog and digital design
    • Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering as well as EE lab equipment
    • Experience with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test
    • Experience with the complete design process from requirements to development, test, and integration
    • Must be able to obtain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting :
    • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
    • The ability to access to US only data systems

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Familiarity with design tools such as Matlab, LabVIEW, and Mentor Expedition Design & Analysis Tool Suite.
    • Experience with VHDL design
    • Knowledge of software and/or FPGA Code development.
    • Software skills with C, C++ Visual Basic, and/or assembly languages.
    • Experience in cost account management and cost estimation, and engineering planning (IMP/IMS)
    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
    • This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
    • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    • Must have an MS Degree from an accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering by Summer 2018 or have graduated 18 months prior to start date.
