    Great opportunity for current college students entering their Junior or Senior year by Fall 2019 or college graduate students (entering or currently enrolled) in a graduate program by Fall 2019.     Interns will be developing AR and VR related applications with possible opportunities in motion capture, depth cameras, networking, and laser scanning. Hardware platforms include CAVE-like large displays, head-mounted displays, and similar. Previous projects include work on creating modeling environments, hardware configuration, and business use-case planning and development. Use cases include training and maintenance applications, motion tracking software for user interfacing, laser scanning for models versus reality, and similar.

    FOR MULTI-LEVEL INTERN REQUISITIONS:

    This position can be a Salary Grade of G04, G05 or NUG based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

    • G04 (College Junior by Fall 2019) - must have completed 60 hours of college
    • G05 (College Senior by Fall 2019) - must have completed 90 hours of college
    • NUG (Post- Graduate-Masters-PhD by Fall 2019) - must have an undergraduate degree and currently enrolled or about to enroll in a graduate degree program

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
    • They will need to be fast learners and able to work with minimal instruction.
    • Experience with tools and environments such as: Unity, Unreal, Visionary Renderer, AutoCAD, Maya, Creo, Visual Studio, C++, C#, Python, and similar would be useful.
    • Applicants need to have both programming experience and 3D modeling skills with emphasis towards either, but knowledge in both.
    • Applicants will need to be comfortable in a dynamic work environment, be able to give improv. presentations, and be able to answer questions on the spot.
    • Students of interest should have experience in Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed reality.
    • Demonstrated Leadership Experience through School or Extracurricular projects a plus.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    • Currently pursuing a BS / BA degree from a four-year university and entering as a college Junior or Senior year OR pursuing a MS / MA / PhD by Fall 2019. Must be working towards a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics Systems Engineer, or equivalent technical discipline. Must be appropriate grade level listed above.
