JOB DESCRIPTION: Seeking Summer Intern Candidate for support of lab operations (software to test equipment). Position includes all support activities from SAS Engineering labs (to include software, network tools, physical equipment movement and tracking, scheduling maintenance and reporting metrics).

Candidate will enjoy using their hands-on tactical experience in the support of all SAS Engineering lab activities.

They will employ their written and oral communications skills, working to support software, assets services, test equipment and operations. Skills including supporting the lab manager and Team with all lab requests, escalations and general special projects activities. Candidates must be comfortable in a multi-tasking environment.

Additional duties include, but not limited to, supporting customer/program requests associated with SAS Engineering Lab activity. Support skills will include using PRISM, APEX. UPS, ARAMIS, along with metrics assistance, audit initiatives (i.e., Mission Assurance, Security, AS9100, etc.), drive continuous process improvement, The Lab Support Intern will not only provide tactical support for the team but help to work strategic initiatives related to lab support. This individual will be required to engage with the program/customer base, partnering with supporting Lab and Section Managers to satisfy customer requirements.

FOR MULTI-LEVEL INTERN REQUISITIONS:

• This position can be a Salary Grade of G04, G05 or NUG based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
• G04 (College Junior by Fall 2019) - must have completed 60 hours of college
• G05 (College Senior by Fall 2019) - must have completed 90 hours of college
• NUG (Post- Graduate-Masters-PhD by Fall 2019) - must have an undergraduate degree and currently enrolled or about to enroll in a graduate degree program

Must be working towards a degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, science, mathematics Major, or equivalent technical discipline. Must be appropriate grade level listed above.
