Description

Lab Coordinator/Test Engineer to be part of the Whole Life Engineering Center (WLEC) McKinney Lab Support Team. The Lab Coordinator/Test Engineer will be responsible for the management of Engineering Labs located within the Dallas site. Engineering Labs support various electrical testing to support design development programs. This is great experience to work with a wide range of product in a hands on test environment.

Duties include asset management (coordination of inventory, equipment moves, security tasks, and calibration services), coordination and execution of safety requirements, 6S audits, safety audits, audit action closure, and ESD certifications. Responsibilities also include maintaining and standardizing lab supplies, test equipment, consumables, following security procedures, safety and housekeeping in multiple labs. The lab coordinator will ensure lab personnel shall operate to standard lab run rules and applicable Raytheon policies within the lab, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality controls, 6S, FOD/FOE, Equipment Calibration, Raytheon Property Controls, ESD controls, Housekeeping, Shelf-life Controls, Preventative Maintenance, and Ergonomics.

This position also requires the ability to set up and test various development products for a wide variety of programs and engineering disciplines. Have the opportunity to work with and develop various skills such as digital, RF and EO design and test along with software development design and test.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with test equipment such as signal sources, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and noise figure meters
  • Understanding of electrical testing
  • Data analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ELIGIBILITY TO OBTAIN A SECURITY CLEARANCE. EXCEPT IN RARE CIRCUMSTANCES, ONLY U.S. CITIZENS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A SECURITY CLEARANCE.
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP STATUS IS REQUIRED AS THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE ABILITY TO ACCESS US ONLY DATA SYSTEMS.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work well with others and on teams
  • Highly motivated self-starter; Can work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to function well in a high pressure multi-tasking environment
  • Test hardware assembly, integration, calibration and troubleshooting experience
  • Software knowledge – LabView, Windows CVI, HTML, C++, PERL CGI

REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

  • Must have a BS / BA with a major in engineering, science, mathematics, or other related field by Summer 2019 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
