University Programs: Plan Production Control Specialist I
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This individual will be responsible for Material Planning and Production Control functions. Plan inventory levels and shop floor order releases based on dependent and independent demand via Bill of Material (BOM) requirements.
Tasks associated with the Production Control function include but are not limited to analyzing material positions, releasing work orders and tracking sub-assemblies as well as top level assemblies through production per the schedule requirements, requesting material from the warehouse and kitting components to the next higher assembly, analyzing work-in-process (WIP) to evaluate program position, set material and assembly priorities with Functional and Line Managers to ensure adherence to the Master Production Schedule, coordinate efforts across functions to process discrepant material in a timely manner, prepare reports and status manufacturing progress within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) atmosphere as well as participating in various factory meetings, and review contract requirements for end-item deliveries while generating the request for shipping documentation.
