  • Responsibilities

    Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) System’s Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support the Tactical Radar Product Line area of programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly enthusiastic team member excited about learning new technologies and development of tactical radar systems. In this position, which is located in El Segundo, CA, the intern will have the opportunity to have hands-on development support of new system capabilities supporting fire controlled radar product line. Specific assignments will be determined based on the candidate’s background, skillset, and interests. Tasks may include system integration and flight test support, system performance analysis and test, or system requirements development and design support.

    For Multi-Level Intern Requisitions:

    This position can be a Salary Grade of G02 or G03 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

    • G02 (College Freshman by Fall 2019) - 0 hours of college
    • G03 (College Sophomore by Fall 2019) - must have completed 30 hours of college

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project
    • Must have the ability to travel among local Raytheon facilities and to travel on business
    • Must be a college Freshman or Sophomore by Fall 2019
    • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
    • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
    • Advanced coursework in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related technical field.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):

    • Currently pursuing a BS / BA degree from an accredited four-year university and entering as a college Freshman or Sophomore by Fall 2019. Must be working towards a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical discipline.
    • Must be appropriate grade level listed above.
