DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will fill the need of a Vehicle Management System Hardware/System design engineer. Under the direct guidance and coaching of more experienced engineers, develop system architecture and hardware requirements, perform component selection and supplier management for Vehicle Management Systems, including computers, actuators, air data systems, sensors, and inceptors. Perform laboratory integration and test of systems. Good oral and written communication skills required as is the ability to adapt in a fast-paced team environment. Position may include some travel in support of testing, customer meetings, or intra-Lockheed Martin coordination.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of or experience with hardware and system analysis

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Above average verbal and written communication skills
• Above average organization skills and attention to detail
• Strong math skills
• Experience with Matlab or Simulink
