Our growing Fraud Investigation Team draws the line between abuse and policy infractions, and takes immediate action. Often working with raw data we stay on top of trends of abuse, as well as provide insights and use case studies to the appropriate engineering teams to better inform their efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate any reports of suspicious activity through in depth reviews of accounts or activity across the site.

• Based on fraud patterns, setup systems to detect suspicious or malicious content or activity. Create metrics and dashboards to monitor the health of the ecosystem.

• Effectively resolve fraud violations with instructors or students escalated to you by remote agents or other members of the Udemy team

• Build resources to enable remote teams to make consistent decisions relating to fraud fighting practices

• Coordinate and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams like Support, Legal, PR, Product, Community, Account Management and Engineering

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in Fraud, Risk, or Payments highly preferred

• SQL experience joining/manipulating large datasets and drawing insights from data

• Proficient in Excel

• Strong work ethic and ability to handle the sometimes overwhelming influx of new cases

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to synthesize key points or complex situations to craft messaging for any audience, large or small.
