Minimum Qualifications and Credentials
MMC
STCW Medical Certificate – we require the STCW Expiration Date to be valid
TWIC badge- Not to expire within three months
Valid Passport – Not to expire within six months

RESPONSIBILITIES
Work under the direction of the Chief Engineer.
Maintain electrical/electronic equipment on vessel.
Detect, report and solve electrical/electronic problems.
Thorough knowledge of high and low voltage systems and PLC’s.
Fluent in reading electrical drawings.
Observe and enforce the quality, health, safety and environmental system.
STCW Electro-Technical rating 750kW/1,000HP or more (Sec. 12.611).
Carry out daily inspections and maintenance of electrical systems/electronic equipment.
Advise Chief Engineer of electrical/electronic issues as required.
Participate in effective management of the maintenance management system to ensure all records are maintained in a timely manner.
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair all electronic systems including dynamic positioning, communication, data acquisition, computers and navigational equipment.
Experience working with Kongsburg DP system.
Assist Chief Engineer in supplying information for maintenance and repair budget.

Required Skills
Required Experience
Master's Degree in discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Bachelor’s Degree, Certification from a nationally recognized ASL organization and 2 years teaching experience. Experience with computer software and technology necessary for implementing course materials and instruction; ability to write in grammatically correct English; demonstrated ability to work with various populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures.
Preferred: College level teaching experience; familiarity with current teaching and learning theories; knowledge of Blackboard and/or other teaching platforms; experience with networked and technology-based classrooms
Responsible for instruction and facilitating student learning; committed to student recruitment, retention and success; assessment of learning, development of curriculum and use of instructional delivery modes utilizing both traditional and non-traditional methodology.
