    AXILLON AEROSPACE is a leading provider of complex, highly engineered composite and polymer solutions for demanding commercial and defense applications. Comprised of six, purpose-built centers of excellence throughout the USA and Mexico, each strategically focused on serving specific markets across aerospace engines and airframes, as well as munitions, radomes, antennas and fuel containment.

    SUMMARY
    The Quality Engineer provides a range of expertise to ensure that products are free of flaws and function as designed. He/She leads data analysis and process control to ensure continuous improvement is effective and that compliance to customer, statutory and regulatory requirements is maintained.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Identify and ensure inspection compliance to all blueprint characteristics
    • Establish, communicate and monitor key process indicators performance
    • Foster compliance to internal and external requirements by means of addressing issues preventing from meeting yield targets
    • Analyze cause for defects and provide opportunities for improvement activities while monitoring process capabilities
    • Reviews and creates inspection forms, records, techniques and procedures for accuracy and relevance and provide changes when necessary
    • Release products for shipment and leads corrective actions activities to answer customer complaint in timely manner
    • Other responsibilities as assigned
    • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
    • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology

    Experience:

    • Ability to use hand inspection tools
    • Use of collaboration tools for data review / update and project milestone completion
    • Entry level mechanical engineering aptitude preferred

    Skills:

    • MS Office suite
    • Able to work alone or within a team
    • Self-motivated to complete tasks timely and act with sense of urgency as required
    • Programming experience in Visual Basic, C++, Python, or other languages (preferred)
    • SolidWorks, NX, or other CAD (preferred)
    • Highly organized
    • Strong communication skills
    • Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, lifting less than 30lbs throughout the workday

    Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $85,000 - $91,000.

  • Qualifications

    Master's Degree in discipline or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Bachelor’s Degree, Certification from a nationally recognized ASL organization and 2 years teaching experience. Experience with computer software and technology necessary for implementing course materials and instruction; ability to write in grammatically correct English; demonstrated ability to work with various populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures.

    Preferred: College level teaching experience; familiarity with current teaching and learning theories; knowledge of Blackboard and/or other teaching platforms; experience with networked and technology-based classrooms

    Responsible for instruction and facilitating student learning; committed to student recruitment, retention and success; assessment of learning, development of curriculum and use of instructional delivery modes utilizing both traditional and non-traditional methodology.

    1. Teach assigned course which may include day, night, and online courses, as well as at the main campus and extension centers. Classes are to meet on time for the full allotted time.
    2. Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximize documented student learning.
    3. Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning.
    4. Grading assignments in a meaningful way to promote continued student growth, returning graded assignments to students in a timely manner, and assigning final grades for all students, meeting or beating all institutional deadlines for completion.
    5. Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled and posted times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment.
    6. Encourage student opinion survey completion for each class and then reviewed after summary information available to assist with increasing student success.
    7. Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training or hour.
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.
