    Opportunity at a Glance

    This role is for Great Baltimore/Washington or Chicago area.  It could be hybrid or remote, depending on location.

    The Product Marketing Manager role is critical in translating business objectives to actionable marketing plans through product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.  This person will execute marketing initiatives that resonate with the specific needs of the target audience that will grow awareness, leads, conversions and enrollments. Working closely with Product Management, Public Relations, Research, Creative, and Channel Managers to develop annual marketing plans as well as on-going creative content at the college, school, and program level that aligns with the overall Walden brand. Responsibilities

    • Regularly collaborate on a cross-functional teams to align on and propose strategies and plans.
    • Clearly define products’ features, benefits, positioning and differentiators.
    • Provide updates on progress and metrics to leadership.
    • Identify and drive creation of key required deliverables and hit related project milestones.
    • Understand competition, where they are advertising and how they position their product.
    • Effectively position Walden to “win” in a competitive marketplace.
    • Develop cross-channel marketing campaigns in collaboration with channel managers.
    • Manage marketing initiatives and marketing mix to achieve expected outcomes.
    • Ensure all communications meets product vision and all messaging of product is correct for audience segment.
    • Create personalized content that meets the needs of the customer for each stage along sales journey.
    • Compile and update product claims, key benefits, and differentiators.
    • Ensure website and other content for product accuracy and positioning in alignment to strategy and brand.
    • Ensure creative assets are in line with product vision and goals and comply with legal guidelines.
    • Track initiative performance and report results and learnings against original goals.
    • Create and deliver meaningful training and resources for enrollment teams and internal stakeholders.
    • Seek and work with students and graduates to bring their “stories” to life.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of related product marketing experience
    • Experience with higher education a plus
    • Demonstrate ability to call out product benefits, differentiators, value to customer.
    • Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities across multiple projects.
    • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusion and actionable next steps.
    • Experience working with digital media (paid and organic), CRM, and events.
    • Exposure to working in a multi-channel environment.
    • Ability to adapt to change, fast timelines and tight deadlines.
    • Ability to lead/co-lead and communicate cross-functionally across operations, sales, product, and marketing.
    • Project manage their own work as well as incorporate feedback from other stakeholders.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
    • Must be a creative, collaborative player who is interested in being a part of energetic, fast-paced team.
    • BS/BA degree in Marketing or related field and/or comparable industry related experience required.
    • Demonstrated experience and familiarity using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Additional Information

    In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $68,637 and $124,230. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
