Perform Adult Protection services for the Office on Aging. Services include investigation, assessment, and coordination of Adult Protection caseload, and crisis intervention. Documentation and maintenance of casework in the GetCare Database in a timely manner is mandatory.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Adult Protection
Investigates allegations of adult abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or exploitation according to ICOA & OOA standards and Idaho State Statute.
Assesses the situation, considering the client’s wishes, assets, deficits, needs, and natural supports.
Coordinate multi-agency staffing when appropriate, to facilitate client protection and supportive service planning, and make appropriate service referrals.
Determines the need for legal action, at the time of the investigation.
Court testimony may be required.
Establishes and maintains a working relationship with community agencies.
(e.g., law enforcement, courts, Dept. of Health & Welfare, etc.)
Documents investigations in GetCare Database according to current Adult Protection procedures.
