    ECE Teacher Ahava Early Learning Center - Atlanta, GA $20,000 - $35,000 a year - Full-time, Part-time Ahava Early Learning Center is Hiring for Immediate Placement Ahava ELC is a child-centered learning space in Northwest Atlanta. Our Jewish pre-school is dedicated to fostering the physical, emotional, social, cognitive and creative growth of young children. Our Reggio-inspired environment is spacious and filled with natural light. Our school is open from 7:30am-6:00pm daily. We are a year-round school, serving our community providing high quality care for their children with a strong commitment to learning through play. We believe that childrens social and emotional growth and readiness for pre-academic learning is fostered when children are viewed through a lens of respect and competence. Children are given opportunities to explore within a carefully structured environment that allows for multi-sensory engagement. Currently seeking full-time and part-time teachers for our pre-k, infant, and toddler classes. Preferred Qualifications: * A bachelors degree in ECE or a related field * Minimum of two years of experience working with groups of children in a classroom environment * Experience with a Reggio approach * Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions Job requirements: Communication & Administrative * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, supervisors, and children * Working knowledge and comfort level with basic computer skills * Professionalism in the workplace, including a positive attitude and the ability to work as part a team * Flexibility in the workplace Pedagogical * Knowledge of child development and the constructivist approach. * Experience developing and delivering age appropriate curriculum and tracking childrens progress * Philosophy that encourages children to take risks and develop strong problem-solving skills * Strong observation skills needed to guide curricular decisions * Demonstrated awareness of different developmental stages of infants, toddlers, pre-school age children * Effective use of methods and positive language for supporting childrens social and emotional growth Child Safety & Well-being * Strong group management skills * Strong sense of order and ability to maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized classroom environment * Ability to actively supervise children, follow protocols for ensuring safety of children * Capable of exercising good judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures * Reliability and adherence to daily schedule * CPR and commitment to ongoing professional learning * Physical capabilities to perform the job (includes lifting, running, sitting on the floor, crouching, kneeling, getting up from a sitting position, standing for long periods of time) Benefits and compensation: * Earned PTO time * Competitive salary commensurate with experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary: $20,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year Experience: * early childhood classroom: 2 years 5 hours ago - save job
