Montessori Lower Elementary Classroom Assistant/Intern AIM Elementary - Berkeley, CA 94703 Full-time, Internship Personal and Professional Requirements: -Native English language proficiency. -Work collaboratively with staff to develop and implement a curriculum that follows the Montessori philosophy and supports AIM's language immersion model. -Assist classroom teachers to prepare and maintain a clean, orderly and attractive Montessori classroom. -Make, repair and/or replace classroom materials as needed. -Share responsibility for the daily safety, well being and supervision of students. -Help supervise recess and enforce school's sportsmanship rules. -Teach some English language, geometry, and cultural lessons -- with guidance and support from classroom teachers. -Demonstrate respect, kindness and rapport with all students, teachers, staff members and parents. -Assist in preparing written student evaluations of each child's academic, social, and physical development to share with families during conferences. -Attend and participate in staff meetings, school events, parent education nights, field trips and training opportunities.
