• New product design and project management of various complexities to achieve goals of function, cost, timing, and quality. • Identify and implement product improvements • Specify and perform design validation as necessary • Perform Product release including administering ECNs • Perform Cost Estimates • Support manufacturing improvements • Support the Technical Service Department through direct customer contact via telephone

Required Skills

• Proficient using solid modeling software (Creo/Pro-E Preferred), Finite Element Analysis, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint • Knowledgeable in Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Welding and other manufacturing processes • Strong visualization skills • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail • Mechanical aptitude with hands on mechanical and automotive related skills • Basic understanding of hydraulics and electrical circuits • Ability to specify and use test equipment including sensors and data acquisition equipment • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Required Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology • Two to three years related work experience required
