  • Responsibilities

    Working with young children in a camp environment is an ideal starting point for students hoping to pursue people-oriented or education-based professions. The skills that camp builds (leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, community building, and so on) are valued and valuable in the post-grad workplace.

    • Animal Care Instructors work with the animals in our on-site farm, introducing children to basic animal care.
    • Our farm is typically populated by 5-8 farm animals such as alpacas, sheep, pigs, and goats.
    • The animal care at camp focuses on building children's familiarity and comfort-level with farm animals they may not have encountered before.

  • Qualifications
    • All staff members must be college-aged or older, and have summer housing available to them in the greater Los Angeles area.

    • Staff members should be prepared to commit to a full ten-week summer of Monday - Friday work weeks. Our 2017 season runs from June 12 - August 18.
