After-School Robotics Teacher

Compensation : $20 hourly.

Location: Morristown, New Jersey.

Starting Date: School year 2023-2024.

Hours: (Aftercare) 2 hours a week, twice a week, 1 hour each day, this position will work in 2 different locations in the zip codes 07926 and 07945.

Apollo After School offers after-school care and enrichment clubs at local schools. We seek outgoing, personable, and reliable robotics teachers for our school-based programs in the area. If you don't have a degree in robotics or in education, no problem! Qualifications

• Knowledge of Science, STEM, and robotics curriculum and instructional best practices.
• Experience teaching Robotics to kids is very desired.
• Ability to create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Energetic, patient, and knowledgeable on how to share positive feedback.
• Great ability to motivate and encourage kids.

Responsibilities

• As an Apollo Robotics Instructor, you will be in charge of creating, developing, and implementing lesson plans to give the kids an introduction to Robotics.
• Responsible for providing clear instructions and leading hands-on activities for the kids with Robots.
• Explaining basic Robotics concepts in an engaging way.
• Creating a positive and inclusive class environment.
• Providing student feedback in a constructive and positive way.
• Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, equipment, and facilities during robotics class.
