    Avid4 Adventure empowers kids to choose an active, outdoor lifestyle. As an Aquatics Supervisor, you will oversee the success of the onsite aquatics program from start to finish, including canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fly fishing, and log rolling. The Aquatics Supervisor works with two instructors and a group of up to thirteen campers on designated paddling days. This role will report to the Manager of Camper Experience.

    Top Job Responsibilities:

    I. Program Design and Implementation

    • Implement lesson plans for canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fly fishing, and log rolling.
    • Evaluate camper skill levels and teach an appropriate skill progression for each age group.
    • Implement morning/evening aquatics-related clubs.
    • Oversee all aquatic based activities.

    II. Equipment Oversight

    • Perform basic maintenance of all aquatic equipment, boats, and gear.
    • Document safety inspections for licensing and accreditation.
    • Report any damages to camp director.
    • Inventory gear weekly.

    III. Program Team Support

    • Provide support to the program team with dining hall themes, evening events, etc. as needed.
    • Provide supervision of campers as needed.
    • Attend weekly staff meetings.
    • All other duties as assigned by the camp director.

  • Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum 21+ years of age
    • Bachelor's degree in science, education, or related field preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License, Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and CPR
    • Experience in a summer camp setting is preferred, with experience in at least 1 of the following: climbing, biking, kayaking, canoeing, or backpacking.
    • Experience leading youth and a passion for working with kids.
    • Ability to handle high-stress environments and handle variety of tasks.

    • Pre-Season Training: June 6-16, 2018
    • Camp Dates: June 17- July 29 (Windy Peak); June 17-August 12 (Mt. Evans)
