Special Asst to Athletic Admin 45314BR Campus: Tempe Special Asst to Athletic Admin Job Description Under administrative direction in Sun Devil Athletics, assists senior level athletic administrators in the departments of Revenue Generation and Sport Administration in providing resources, support, and coordination in the overall planning and implementation of programs and services. Works closely with head coaches and the Senior Woman Administrator in support of Conference and University initiatives. Ensures compliance with the rules and regulations of NCAA and Pac-12, as well as the policies and procedures of the University and the Arizona Board of Regents in all projects. Salary Range Depends on experience Close Date 10-September-2018 Category 02 Essential Duties - Assist in scheduling of appointments, creation of correspondence, and providing other administrative support as requested by the administrators. - Compiles and prepares data for reports, correspondence and presentations including but not limited to Pac-12 Council committees and the Universitys Title IX program. - Assists with coordination of travel for assigned areas, as well as the pre- and post- travel reconciliation. - Arranges and implements decisions of meetings and conferences; assures that follow-up actions are taken in accordance with established procedures. - Serves as liaison between the assigned areas and related contacts within and outside of the University community to include coaching staff, student athletes, SDA staff, alumni, in order to facilitate programs. - Coordinates resources to meet the needs of the assigned area. - Creates reports and analyzes data obtained. Develops and updates systems, manuals, handbooks, and policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. - Plans, develops, and coordinates events related to requirements of the area of assignment. - May provide training to staff in related area. - Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and one (1) year experience in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications - Experience in an athletics environment. - Experience with travel and/or Concur. - Experience with project management. - Experience planning, analyzing and coordinating activities and establishing priorities. - Experience creating reports and analyzing data. - Experience with MS Office programs, including calendar maintenance. - Experience making decisions in a changing environment and anticipating future needs. - Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse populations. - Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. - Evidence of effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
