    Meeting and Event Logistics Coordinator 41298BR Off-Campus: Scottsdale Job Description The Office of Knowledge of Enterprise Development is seeking to fill the position of meeting and event logistics coordinator for its operations office at the SkySong Innovation Zones campus. Under the general supervision, the successful candidate will be part of a team assigned to support the planning, setup, and organization of meetings and events for both internal ASU and external customers. Additionally, this position will manage a team of 10-15 student worker staff who are responsible for routine office support functions. Salary Range $31,815 - $35,000 per year; DOE Close Date 09-May-2018 Category 02 Essential Duties - Uses EMS software to reserve, adjust, cancel, and update conference room reservations on a daily basis

    • Serves as point of contact for conference room sales - Works with SkySong affiliates, tenants, and other ASU departments related to conference room reservations - Works with internal and external vendors to meet operational meeting requirements - Collects and processes payments for conference room reservations and events - Maintains conference room furniture inventory - Meets with current and future room rental clients - Provides tours of conference rooms to potential clients
    • Ensures conference rooms and events are set-up properly - Hires, supervises, trains and evaluates student workers in support of office and meeting functions Days and Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Some evenings and weekends will be required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of issues pertaining to area of assignment. - Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management. - Demonstrated knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. - Experience in budget preparation and forecasting. - Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of self and others. - Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. - Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills. Working Environment - Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking. - Daily use of desktop computer. - Lift up to 20 pounds. - Clearly communicate to perform essential duties. - Receive regular review of completed tasks.
