Job Description EdPlus at ASU seeks a highly-motivated, energetic and
articulate Success Coach to join our high-performing team in the Success
Coaching Center. The Success Coach partners with students in thoughtful
and creative ways that guide and motivate them to reach their full
potential. Through quality conversation and meaningful exploration, the
coach will build and maintain relationships with a focus on goal
setting, overcoming obstacles and achieving success, while adhering to
established guidelines. The Success Coach builds working relationships
with colleges and advising teams across ASU and ensures students have
access to necessary resources and tools. EdPlus is a central enterprise
unit for ASU focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital
teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce
barriers to achievement in higher education. We advance the economic,
social, cultural and overall health of the local, national and

Close Date 17-August-2018 Category 02 Essential Duties - Engages in
proactive outreach to empower students through positive reinforcement,
building rapport, and establishing meaningful academic relationships. -
Coaches students on developing a plan to achieve their academic and
career goals. - Provides high-quality student-centered support using
text, social media, email, phone and chat of a significant volume in a
fast-paced environment. - Provides support for student accountability
and success. - Works to build student knowledge, skills, attitudes and
beliefs that support success. - Identifies areas for growth and
opportunity and creates a personal development plan. - Works
collaboratively and promotes the discovery process for problem solving.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to new coaches. - Invests in students
success and reflects commitment by answering phone calls, responding to
voice or email messages, texts or chat within the same business day, and
staying beyond regular business hours if needed. - Works with internal
and external partners in a positive and proactive manner. - Monitors
student engagement via dashboards and implements interventions as
prescribed. - Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as
assigned or directed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree AND two
(2) years previous experience in one or more of the following: advising,
student recruitment/retention or related student services utilizing a
proactive and innovative approach which results in demonstrated outcomes
in retention, graduation, and academic planning; OR, Any equivalent
combination of experience and/or education from which comparable
knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired
Qualifications - Evidence of a Bachelors degree or higher in a related
field - Experience in customer service skills and a desire to help,
especially related to life or career coaching, counseling, or education
- Evidence of effective communication and presentation skills, both
written and verbal, in an open and persuasive style with the ability to
communicate empathy - Experience with online programs and students in a
higher education environment - Experience developing, facilitating and
maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with diverse populations
- Experience using Salesforce applications - Experience in performing
effectively in a fast-paced environment with a variety of projects
subject to quickly changing priorities - Experience working with large
populations of students, clients or teams - Experience in work that
requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time
management and prioritization skills - Experience with text, social
media and chat - Experience in following guidelines, structure and
established policy while working with others Working Environment Our
offices are located in ASU SkySong, a dynamic center for innovation -
home to both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Activities are
primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting
subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Visual acuity and
manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop or laptop computer
is required. Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read,
