    Job Description

    Assessment Managers at Success Academy are central to the high-performing, data-driven school model that positions SA graduates for success in higher education and beyond. Reporting directly to the school principal, the Assessment Manager at each campus leads a team of subject matter experts who manage critical workflows essential to the academic operations of the school.

    Assessment Managers embody our commitment to data accuracy and integrity and are responsible for ensuring the entire school faculty operates with fidelity to those commitments. Through impeccable management of people, processes, and projects, Assessment Managers position our instructional teams to diagnose strengths and gaps in student achievement, create strong educational plans, and ensure every scholar is on track for success.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Leadership and Management

    • Owning, end-to-end, the Assessment, Registrar and Special Education programs

    • Managing and developing a team to deliver on key performance indicators, with an eye towards talent multiplication

    • Ensuring school leadership and staff have real-time access to 100% accurate academic records, inclusive of course grades, enrollment records, credits earned, and transcripts.

    • Making data-driven recommendations around key decisions in a scholar’s high school journey, including course scheduling, promotion readiness, and eligibility for university-level courses

    • Identifying and proposing smart solutions and innovations to maximize efficiency and efficacy

    Academic Operations

    • Ensuring flawless assessment administration, conducted with adherence to protocols for academic integrity, including for high stakes external examinations (e.g. SATs, APs)

    • Insisting on all scholars receiving the right Special Education services with fidelity to their individualized plans; adjustments to scholars’ services are data-driven and made with urgency

    Data Accuracy and Integrity

    • Serving as a super user for our Student Information System and holds school-based staff accountable for adoption and implementation of data tools and resources

    • Inculcating a culture of transparency and clear communication around student performance and progress within the school community

    • Safeguarding student records in accordance with SA standards, professional practices, and network policies and procedures

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • 5-7 years of professional experience, including people management experience

    Required Traits and Competencies:

    • Is a leader who knows how to operate, with conviction, and how to build relationships across teams

    • Is a leader who can inspire a school community, in service of world-class schooling and excellence

    • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills, flexible and able to pivot as necessary to support school priorities

    • Effectively collaborates with a broad base of constituents at all levels, including school and organizational leadership

    • Expertise working with data management systems and skills to perform complex, action driven data analysis

    • Fluency in MS Excel, and Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.)

    • Independently and successfully manages people and projects, including through ambiguity

    • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail

    • Exceedingly strong work ethic and grit, self-starter attitude Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven, joyful environment

    Compensation

    Annual Salary: $80,000.00
