    Job Description

    The Department of Psychology at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach introductory courses in psychology during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level, such as courses in Principles of Psychology, Psychology and Law, Addiction and Recovery, Psychopathology, Cognitive Psychology, Personality Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics. Most classes are held in person during the day. Some classes meet weekly or biweekly in the evenings. Instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email, and hold regularly scheduled office hours.  This is a union position, covered by a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU. Pay starts at $4,750 per course. Two courses are possible.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Master's degree in Psychology
    • At least 18 semester hour credits of graduate coursework in Psychology.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Teaching experience in Psychology at the college level is preferred.
