    OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT

    Reporting to the Auxiliary Services Manager, the Auxiliary Services & Student Store Coordinator will play a pivotal role in optimizing and expanding the Student Store's operations to enhance profitability and school spirit. This position will oversee store functions, from merchandise management and marketing strategies to financial reconciliation and POS system support while ensuring excellent customer service. This role will also help foster student entrepreneurship through collaboration with the student-run kiosk and supporting various administrative and employee-related services within Auxiliary Services. This role offers an opportunity to streamline processes, modernize the retail experience, and contribute significantly to the Marlborough community.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Coordinate all Student Store operations, including operating policies and procedures.

    Manage store merchandise, encompassing product development, pricing, promotions, placement, marketing strategies, branding, and ordering.

    Reconcile daily receipts and point-of-sale reports, and prepare periodic and ad-hoc financial reports.

    Collaborate with the Auxiliary Services Manager on sales and budgetary targets, including establishing appropriate margins and cost efficiencies.

    Strategize, train, schedule, and monitor volunteer programs to meet staffing needs.

    Coordinate with Athletics and other departments to strengthen the school’s branding efforts and increase sales volume for apparel, “spirit wear,” and other product offerings.

    Assist in creating and maintaining an online student store.

    Support student organizations by coordinating their custom apparel orders, from initial design concepts to billing and final delivery.

    Collaborate with the Engineering & Entrepreneurship Program Head for the student-run kiosk by providing operational support to ensure efficient merchandise procurement, sales, inventory management, and financial reconciliation.

    Identify and implement marketing strategies to increase revenue sources for the Student Store.

    Maintain school-wide office supplies and stock inventory.

    Process and maintain transportation records, including monitoring bus routes and schedules.

    Provide support for the retail Point-of-Sale (POS) system in conjunction with the IT department, including assisting with operational troubleshooting and user support.

    Assist with college testing (AP, SAT, ACT) coordination, including registration and billing.

    Provide support to the Auxiliary Services Department and other departments as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

    1–2 years of experience in auxiliary services, office administration, or customer service.

    Demonstrates good communication, resourceful problem solver, and collaboration.

    Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other software platforms preferred.

    Prior experience with point-of-sales (PoS) systems, a plus.

    Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
