  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Product Administrator for our Voluntary Benefits Division.

    Job Overview:

    Acts as the key liaison for implementation and communication of product changes and leads others through resolution of issues.  Works cross-functionally with other areas to implement product changes, resolve issues and communicate changes to sales, brokers, employers and policyholders.  Supports meeting the business objectives for a product modification, ensuring that all marketed products are administered correctly to drive value creation for the division and as required by compliance. Supports and participates in product development initiatives.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Oversees successful implementation of product changes by obtaining resources to implement changes, engages appropriate individuals, communicates requirements for successful implementation of all forms, documenting changes and training internal staff and sales staff.
    • Works with compliance and actuarial teams to pursue and obtain approval from state departments of insurance on product filings, providing necessary direction to ensure integrity of product/process.
    • Oversees resolution to any production issue, case exception, product compliance issues and respond to all product related inquiries.
    • Creates and maintains documentation surrounding state required differences; compliance decisions and product changes.
    • Acquires, assesses and archives competitive/industry information. Creates and updates competitive comparisons for key competitors
    • Supports and participates in product development initiatives

    Education/Experience required

    • Bachelors degree
    • Minimum 3+ years of insurance industry experience
    • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Must have ability to collaborate effectively and to work with people at all levels within the company
    • Must be a team player and have the ability to influence team members without direct authority by reaching consensus in order to facilitate moving projects forward
    • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and documentation skills
    • Must be innovative and creative in looking for ways to improve current processes
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Nice to have:

    • Voluntary/Worksite marketplace experience
    • Product Management experience
