    WELLNESS PROGRAM COORDINATOR, JUNO BEACH, FL

    Full Time, Full Benefits Package/PTO, Paid Holidays

    Schedule: Mon – Fri Varied 8 hour schedules / early AM / closing PM; Occasional weekend special events as needed

    _Travel: This coordinator could be responsible for local travel up to 2-4x/month to support some of our other sites in the area. _

HealthFitness is seeking a talented WELLNESS PROGRAM COORDINATOR to support our client site located in JUNO BEACH, FL. In this position, you play a critical role in our comprehensive health and fitness program by providing a wide range of services to improve the health and well-being of the entire employee population; the development and implementation of wellness programs and challenges, wellness presentations, health screenings, fitness center management and much more.

     

    YOUR IMPACT:

    • Coordinate wellness programs and fitness center management at multiple client sites.
    • Coordinate effective delivery of business plan activities and programs supporting goals and objectives.
    • Coordinate coverage at one or more fitness facilities.
    • Conduct fitness assessments and exercise prescriptions as necessary.
    • Engage in frequent and regular interactions with employees at respective sites.
    • Maintain and adhere to regular schedule of site visits.
    • Interact with fitness members on fitness floor during peak usage times.
    • Support ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of health related programs.
    • Assist with coordination of education programs.
    • Assist manager with creation of digital communications and related duties.
    • Assist with site and community events such as American Heart Walk, Komen Walk, etc.
    • Coordinate Lunch and Learn seminars. 
    • Coordinate onsite biometric screenings and flu vaccination events.
    • Create monthly operations reports and HFC reports.
    • Maintain fitness center equipment and make improvements as necessary.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

     

    WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline AND 1+ years related experience OR the equivalent combination of an industry certification and related experience. 
    • Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
    • Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA or other NCCA accredited specialty certification; if not current, will be required within 6 months of hire.
    • Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved certifying agency a plus. 
    • Some experience in leading, coordinating and delivering effective programs including budgeting, marketing and promotions.
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
    • Team skills, processes and communication.
    • Organizational skills and processes.
    • Ability to effectively facilitate team and customer meetings.
    • Ability to create motivation in others.

    Requuired Skills:

     

    • Some high school or equivalent experience
    • Basic computer competency
    • Knowledge of SAP
    • 1 year of on the job experience with demonstrated understanding of process flow, quality, efficiency, safety and organizational requirements in the department assigned.
