OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - BETHEL, AK

PART-TIME, 15 HRS/WK

HealthFitness is looking to hire OPERATIONS STAFF at THE YUKON KUSKOKWIM FITNESS CENTER in Bethel, AK work as a Lifeguard, Front Desk Staff, Facility Attendant and/or Sport Club leader as needed based on skills.  Operations staff are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, observing and enforcing all rules and regulations, assisting with keeping the facility clean and in good working condition, providing excellent customer service, and assisting managers with additional duties as assigned.   _Qualified candidates should have a flexible schedule with evening and weekend availability. _

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all ages of patrons.
• Safe Serve or Alaska Food Workers Card certification required within 30 days of hire
• Qualified candidates must be comfortable using computers and willing and able to learn point of sale software.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision.
• Strong quality orientation including attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Strong skills in multi-tasking and the ability to remain calm and professional while completing multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
• Ability to efficiently and effectively complete work assignments.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification strongly preferred.  Applications will be considered from candidates enrolled in Lifeguard Training/able to pass lifeguard training pre-requisites.
• Will be required to follow any current or future site COVID-19 vaccination policies including but not limited to proof of vaccination, weekly testing, etc.

• 0-6 months experience in food production/quality assurance environment
• Able to accurately perform basic math computations
• Able to enter data into reporting system
• Very good at performing accurate checks and maintaining accurate records
• Able to follow instructions
• Approachable and team oriented, creates a positive work environment
