Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relation with children, parents, school facility and other Be A Champion, Inc. staff. Education Services * Ensure program meets all agency, regulatory and contract requirements at both state and local levels * Plan program activities which are appropriate to the interest and needs of the children * Schedule special guests and special events to enhance the program * Coordinate program with the school site and ensure a positive working relationship * Adhere to all school requirements regarding use of building facilities * Familiarize the parents of newly enrolled children with the centers expectations and routines * Ensure that all parents receive letters and communication * Participate in parent conferences as needed * Provide accurate and timely delivery of program information and paperwork * Purchase supplies and manage budget * Communicate all significant incidents to parents and Site Coordinator * Attend and participate in all meetings called by management * Actively promote the success of program through marketing * Participate in school community service, parent organizations and other school functions * Participate in agency fund development events * Provide leadership and be a positive role model for other staff * Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Program Staff as needed basis (see job description) Champion Fuel Food Program * Coordinate Champion Fuel Food program * Create and maintain relationships with collaborations, networks and supports specific to current programs and the agency including but not limited to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) * Count the pre-packaged meals available for distribution upon arrival each day. * Ensure the meals are distributed to all students in various afterschool activities, while adhering to government regulations and local health and safety standards. * Ensure the completion, accuracy, and submission of all required documentation by deadlines provided QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: * Current CPR and First Aid certification * Must pass DOJ/FBI criminal background check * Must be punctual and reliable * Must possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills * Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. * Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, and community partners * Must have sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise childrens activities including ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. * Ability to read to children, observe children at play, listen to childrens needs and assist in evacuation of the building during emergencies * Ability to plan, organize, delegate and prioritize task efficiently and effectively * Reliable transportation record EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * Must have an AA Degree; Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution preferred
