What You'll Do/Need Position SummaryThe Architecture Intern assists the Architecture team in their strategic redevelopment of the urban core. This interns role includes research, conceptual and schematic design, design development and construction drawings. Position ResponsibilitiesSupport Bedrock's architecture and urban design processes by providing great design, graphics and rendering skillsUtilize Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Adobe softwareCreate conceptual diagrams, renderings, research presentations, development plans, building floor plans, etc.Be open to practicing architecture within a non-traditional, collaborative architecture team (although you will be working under a licensed architect in order to obtain intern development program hours)Be comfortable working in a fast-paced real estate development environment Position RequirementsJunior, senior or graduate class status in an architecture, interior design, urban planning or graphic design college programAbility to provide work examples during the interview processProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite with extensive knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and various other graphic software platforms Ability to work 40 hours per week Monday to FridayPassion for regnerating Detroit through architecture and design strategiesExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and within a team Ability to see a project through to completionAbility to give visual and verbal presentations with confidence
