    Part-Time Program Coordinator, Office of International Education R1902 Salary $17.49 Hourly Location Bellevue WA, WA Job Type -Hourly Division Student Affairs Job Number R1902 Job Status Part-Time Description Office of International Education (OIE) at Bellevue College (BC) is currently looking for qualified individual to work as the Short-Term Customized Program Coordinator for Japanese College Program. This program will run from February 17 to March 16, 2019. This position will start by 01/28/19 and expect to end on 03/16/19. The work schedule is flexible from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays during the program. It is required to work on Sun, Feb. 17, '19 and Sat., March 16, '19. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL DUTIES The following duties are typical for this position but should not be considered all-inclusive. Duties may be changed based on management discretion and institutional needs. Primary responsibilities of the Program Coordinator are to prepare the program thoroughly, actively engage with the students and the chaperone to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, and deliver a successful program. Typical duties include, but not limited to, handling all logistics of all on- and off-campus activities, supervising the student helper, preparing and delivering the welcome orientation and farewell ceremony, showing students how to ride public transportation, leading all on- and off-campus activities including themed workshops, staying within the budget, conducting the program evaluation, and briefing the Director of OIE daily. QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be available to work from 8am to 5pm on weekdays during the program and some weekends Familiar with the greater-Seattle areas and experienced with public transportation system (i.e., Metro) Experience working with low-level English learners Effective communication skills and ability to work with individuals or groups with diverse ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds Be proficient with MS Office, especially PowerPoint Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities with minimal supervision and stay within budget High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of work experience OR equivalent education/experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution CPR/First Aid/AED certifications Experience studying or working abroad Ability to drive to different locations if needed SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS Applications received by 1/13/19 will be given full consideration.
