directly to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator is
responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of the payrolls for
the Berlitz and ELS companies in the US and Puerto Rico. The ideal
candidate should be organized and able to work well under pressure,
while being able to exhibit knowledge of the payroll processes and laws.
Providing excellent customer service, for both internal and external
customers, is essential for the success of this position. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Processing Bi-weekly and Monthly Payrolls:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and processing of
biweekly and monthly payrolls. * Assist language centers and headquarter
personnel with payroll related questions. * Complete verification and
transfer of information from a variety of systems into UltiPro for
payroll processing * Prepare payroll registers after each payroll and
distribute to appropriate individuals at the language centers and
headquarters. * Prepare manual checks or run supplemental payrolls as
needed * Handle the administration of the timekeeping system * Manage,
create, and distribute reports for payroll related items * Manage the
research and resolution of payroll related issues Other Payroll
Functions: * Assist with W-2 processing and reconciliations * Assist
with the reconciliation and review of quarterly 941s prepared by the
company s payroll provider. * Assist with the reconciliation of payroll
tax payments to employer taxes accrued and employee taxes withheld. *
Coordinate the flow and maintenance of employee data between human
resources and payroll. * Coordinate new tax jurisdictions with payroll
provider as needed * Assist management in the preparation of accruals,
journal entries, and any additional reconciliation requirements as part
of the monthly closing process. * Provide support in any department
initiatives and system enhancements * Manage, create and distribute
reports for payroll related items * Assist payroll manager or controller
with special projects as needed Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND
EXPERIENCE * Bachelor s degree or 3+ years of relevant payroll
experience. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme
discretion. * High degree of accuracy with a well-developed attention to
details. * Demonstrate problem solving and analytical abilities. *
Proficient in Microsoft Office. * Strong communication and interpersonal
skills within all levels of an organization. * Ability to prioritize
multiple tasks to meet deadlines. * Knowledge and experience with
