CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR, Sourcing & Procurement
Responsible for the identification, selection, sourcing, development and management of research, operations, administrative or facilities management suppliers. Work with Sourcing & Procurement management and internal stakeholders to develop and execute Boston University supply strategies for specific suppliers and assist in the development of a University-wide strategic sourcing strategy. Under the general supervision of an Associate Director or appointee, a Buyer I is responsible for placing orders in response to service or material requirements, reconciling invoices and training shoppers. Administer and manage RFx processes, negotiate price agreements and audit for contract compliance as required. Review supplier registration submissions to ensure that submitted payment, legal, ethics and contract terms are in agreement with University policies.
Required Skills
A bachelor's degree and minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in an office setting is required. The candidate must be eager to learn, detail-oriented and comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. He or she must have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working as part of a team.
