    Front Desk Morning Supervisor, Cambridge, MA

    Monday-Friday 5:30AM-1:30PM, benefits, holidays & PTO!

    MIT Recreation, managed by HealthFitness, has an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Front Desk Morning Supervisor onsite at the Alumni Pool & Wang Fitness Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for front line customer service focused interactions including registrations for memberships and instructional programs, towel service, locker rentals, entrance/exit monitoring, and inquiry responses.

    Key Accountabilities Include:

    • Process all registrations for Aquatics, Fitness, and Member Services using Club Automation Software.
    • Respond to member inquiries sent to the Member Services customer service email address.
    • Collaborate and effectively communicate with full-time Member Services staff in regard to daily membership administrative responsibilities including membership status reminder emails, membership audits, rejected EFT credit card collection, and ID card deactivations.
    • Point of Contact for the facility during shift. Respond to and report on emergency/incident/accident situations as they arise.
    • Manage the A/W locker rental including allocation, notifications, cleanout, and storage fee collection.
    • Assist the Assistant Director of Member Services with management of the A/W Pro Shop and inventory tracking.
    • Responsible for the management of the A/W lost and found.
    • Attend and participate in all Member Services in-service trainings, POC meetings, and weekly one-on-one meetings with supervisor.
    • Serve as the secondary lifeguard for the Alumni Pool while on duty. Provide periodic support for the primary lifeguard and Wang Fitness staff.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

    What You'll Need:

    • High School Diploma or GED required and 2+ years of related industry experience.
    • Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
    • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or ability to obtain through onsite training) within 90 days of hire.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills with the ability to motivate others.
    • Skills to work effectively both independently and as part of team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
    • Computer skills in MS Office including Excel and ability to learn POS software.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology or Related Field
    • Licensure as LMHC or equivalent and/or experience in working with Master’s programs
    • Three years post-licensure experience in providing counseling services
    • Knowledge of Master’s level licensure requirements
    • Strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Established record of teaching courses in Counseling Psychology, Counseling, or related fields
    • Established record of mentoring, supervising, or teaching students or professionals in Counseling Psychology and/or Counseling
