  • Responsibilities

    This role will bring a “can do” attitude with proven IT infrastructure technical and leadership skills to drive our global infrastructure modernization efforts and lead the organization’s path toward a hybrid-cloud environment. This role will play a key role in transforming the organization’s IT infrastructure environment into a true strategic business enabler.

    Job manages a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage the team.

    • Job leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.
    • Will solve highly technical complex problems and be called on to consult for other projects.
    • Assists with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills. Viewed as a Subject Matter Expert within the organization.
    • Manages the activities, employees, and consultants associated with providing technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems.
    • Interprets and explains information to audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion and influence.
    • Uses experience or precedent to identify solutions or to adapt existing approaches to resolve issues.
    • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
    • Tracks and manages all IT infrastructure assets throughout their lifecycle from implementation through retirement.
    • Provides case status updates to management and end-users.
    • Supports and maintains effective relationships with business functions.
    • Demonstrates ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
    • Evaluates and introduces new technology solutions to solve current business problems and proactively stays abreast of new and emerging technologies consistent with the organization’s enterprise architecture.
    • Maintains vendor relationships to ensure partners and suppliers of the function are effectively delivering on their commitments.
    • This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    • 5-10 years of experience in related field is preferred.
    • Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
    • Uses advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills to adapt policies and drive departmental priorities.
    • Effectively manages competing priorities.
    • Contributes to delivery of discipline/department goals through personal effort or through influence over employees.
    • Accountable for meeting own target which will impact the function.
    • Experience managing vendors and multi-sourcing relationships.
    • BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
    • Project management experience preferred; PMP certification a plus
    • ITIL experience required; ITIL certification a plus
    • Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
    • Work conditions are typical of an office environment.
    • This role requires both domestic and international travel.
    • Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
    • Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
    • Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours
