    Boston University Virtual is a new unit at Boston University focused on the creation of high-quality online degree and certificate programs. We are seeking a Faculty & Student Support Administrator to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and the broader BU Virtual operations team to support the development, maintenance, and delivery of high-quality, differentiated online programs.

    The Faculty and Student Support Administrator plays a central role in the successful delivery of each course in the assigned portfolio of 10-15 courses per term for six terms a year. The Faculty and Student Support Administrator will work collaboratively with BUV designers, academic leaders, and platform administrators to support the development, build, QA, and delivery of online courses. They will participate in the design, test, and implementation of new technology solutions and documentation to contribute to an environment of continual improvement.

    The Faculty and Student Support Administrator provides guidance and best-practice recommendations to faculty to maximize the success of BUs online courses and programs. They manage onboarding experiences for students and faculty new to online course delivery. The Faculty and Student Support Administrator communicates directly with students to prepare them for and support them throughout their online course experience. The faculty and student support administrator develops and advanced understanding of the online user experience and provides advanced troubleshooting and support as issues arise. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and experience in education and customer service.
