  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Assistant Director of Capital Planning, the Project Financial Analyst performs a variety of tasks related to the management budget and fiscal affairs for University space planning, construction and related programs with an annual budget of approximately $200 million from project inception through close-out. The Project Financial Analyst is an integral role in providing management with project status reports and recommendations to improve fiscal operations, processes and systems for capital planning, special maintenance, and Facilities Management & Planning.

    Tasks include working closely with project managers, designers, and finance staff to develop project budgets, cash flow projections, and creating project accounts. Additional tasks include, but are not limited to, confirming funding sources, monitoring operational/ project costs and expenditures, measuring project performance, and assisting with quarterly and fiscal year end analysis and confirmations on project status.

    The Project Financial Analyst’s primary responsibility is to provide financial support for all capital and non-capital building projects. Additionally, the role provides administrative support to the SPACE (Space Planning and Capital Expenditures) Sub-Committee which is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and approving all renovations to academic and administrative facilities university-wide. This support includes collecting project submissions, assisting in the evaluation of each project, setting up meetings and preparing agendas to discuss and prioritize projects.
