  • Responsibilities

    The Center for Behavioral Science Research has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Assistant to join their growing team! Funded by the American Heart Association, the Sr. Research Assistant will work on a study that aims to help adolescents quit vaping using virtual reality (VR) technology.

     

    Main responsibilities for this position include:

    • Site visits to high schools to run adolescent participants through the VR program
    • Tracking participant retention
    • Managing data and IRB submissions
    • Coordinating efforts with outside entities
    • Developing the intervention
    • Interviewing and assisting with training research assistants
    • Administrative research tasks

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, or related social science field required
    • 3-5 years of human subjects research required
    • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Attention to detail
    • The ability to work with a team and engage in a professional manner with participants
    • Consistent and regular access to a vehicle is required
    • Must be willing to submit to and pass a background check
    • Experience working with teens and with using online data management systems (e.g., REDCap) is a plus but not required
