Candidates for this position should have earned a BFA in Graphic Design (or an equivalent degree in a related field) and more than five years professional experience that includes expertise in some combination of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Python, Figma, and related software is a plus. Teaching experience, either full-time or as an adjunct/part-time instructor, is preferred. In particular, experience teaching infographic design and data visualization is desired, though not required.
Candidates should show a dedication to creating an inclusive classroom environment that embraces a multiplicity of perspectives and skill levels. Interest in connecting students with design competitions, exhibitions, and publications is a plus. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a dedication for staying current in the field and continually updating their pedagogical and technological skills as well as collaborating with colleagues and students.
