  • Responsibilities

    We are recruiting for a data analyst to support a newly funded NIH project at Boston University School of Public Health. Candidates should have training in the analysis of large cohort data and/or genetic/genomic data. This position offers ample opportunity to gain experience in analyzing big omics data using Linux system, to participate in external collaboration, and to publish manuscript with a prominent authorship. 

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Perform statistical analyses (descriptive statistics, stratification, multivariable regression) using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, python)
    • Perform data management, including extraction and cleaning of raw data, derivation of new variables, labelling and formatting of raw and derived variables, and multiple imputation. Maintain and update research databases to facilitate analyses.
    • Prepare study results for inclusion in conference presentations, grants, and scientific publications.

     

    Required Skills

    Candidates should have a Master degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline. Programming skills and experience with high-throughput genomic data are highly desirable. Excellent communications skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects are essential. Required Skills Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline.
