  • Responsibilities

     

    The Marlow Lab of Environmental Microbiology at Boston University is hiring a laboratory research technician to facilitate the labs current and future research projects.

     

    The positions key duties will include:

    • Lab support through administrative, upkeep, and procurement work
    • Protocol development and optimization in environmental microbiology techniques
    • Independent experimental projects in support of existing and future lab investigations.

     

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 years of experience required.

     

    Useful background experience includes familiarity with research labs and first-hand molecular biology or geobiology research experience. We seek candidates who are highly organized, eager to expand their research skill set, experienced with experimental design, and able to work well with a diverse range of people. We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds, as we are committed to the promotion of underrepresented groups in microbiology and STEM fields more broadly.
