    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Boston University Admissions seeks a Senior Assistant Director. The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision and leadership to a regional team Assistant Directors. The person in this position will manage all selection and scholarship related work of his or her team members, assign and evaluate projects, and provide guidance on the management of travel regions. In addition, the person in this position will manage the Early Decision selection process with an Associate Director. The Senior Assistant Director will also provide assistance to the Senior Associate Director and the Associate Directors in the overall management of the freshman and transfer selection processes. This role supervises four Assistant Directors. Evening and weekend work is expected during the busiest parts of the reading and recruitment cycles, and the person in this position will be expected to manage a regional territory and travel for approximately 5-7 weeks during the year_._

     

    The Senior Assistant Director will manage a team within the Admissions Office. This person will work with Enrollment Services Operations while managing the Early Decision process. This role reports to the Associate Director of Admissions_._

     

    The Senior Assistant Director’s primary duties include:

    • Providing leadership to a regional team of four Assistant Directors;
    • Management and evaluation of projects;
    • Working with an Associate Director to manage the Early Decision selection process, and;
    • Supporting the overall management of undergraduate selection policies.

    ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

    A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. We are seeking a candidate who has 3-5 years of directly related experience. Strong public speaking skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are also required.

     

    Candidates should expect to complete a CORI/SORI background check at point of hire.

    A valid driver's license is required for this position as there may be a need to drive for recruiting purposes.
