  • Responsibilities

    Working with PI, and other investigators on the team, who have over 15 grants between them in the areas of genetics, epidemiology, brain imaging, pathology of brain aging, stroke, dementia, Parkinsons disease, epilepsy, eye disease and gait. This person will be asked to serve as a part-time neuropsychology tester, administering and scoring various testing batteries and mood/functional assessments for FHS participants in the FHS clinic, BUMC Biosquare and at the participants' homes. They will also be responsible for a variety of special projects, including the staffing of FHS Exam cycle testing station approximately 3 days per week for the Neurology Program. Additionally, they will assist the PI and Project Manager on the logistics of the MRI scanning/reporting project for FHS Participants, and will arrange, coordinate and take minutes for several monthly meetings for the Neurology Program. They will also be trained to draft/present cases for the Dementia Review meetings, and will carry a 24hr brain bank pager for 8-12 weeks per year, responding to and facilitating all calls in a timely manner.

    Required Skills

    Minimum qualifications include a bachelors degree, with preference for a Masters degree in neurosciences, psychology or biology. Preference of 1-3 years of experience in clinical research or clinical operations environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work closely with study participants on a daily basis required.
