THE OPPORTUNITY AND WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

WBUR Podcasts is known for producing a mix of daily, weekly and limited series podcasts like Endless Thread, Circle Round, Anything for Selena, Last Seen, The Common, and more. We're currently producing new projects about climate change, the gun manufacturing industry, and the parole system, among others.

Producers in WBUR's podcast unit work on a highly collaborative, fluid team that tackles daily and weekly podcasts as well as limited run event podcasts.

As a Producer, you will start work on WBUR's podcasts, working closely with the best producers and reporters in one of the largest public radio newsrooms in the country. You will help maintain our current podcast projects, but you'll also help develop new podcasts at WBUR more broadly. Your role will involve reporting, field work, preproduction, scripting, taping, audio editing, and futures planning with daily, weekly and monthly cadence of deadlines. You will contribute to our podcasts’ presence and audience engagement on social, wbur.org and other current and future platforms.

We're a highly collaborative team of fulltime and freelance producers. Our team endeavors to operate using the principles of transparency, consensus decision making, and a commitment to great journalism. We believe that even in a super competitive podcast landscape, public radio can be powerful and innovative, and serve new diverse generations of public media consumers by featuring voices from those generations.
