    Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) invites applications for a full-time, Research Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Department of Periodontology.

    The Department of Periodontology is accepting applications for a full-time, five day per week faculty position. Major responsibilities include academic tasks such as lecturing in departmental courses and mentoring graduate dental residents pursuing a Master or Doctor of Science degree in Periodontology as well as serving in departmental committees. Mentoring predoctoral students who are involved in the department’s numerous research projects is a possibility.

    A successful applicant must be able to show a strong publication record and previous experience in basic research with an emphasis on bone and cell biology. In addition to mentoring graduate students, independent research is desired.

     

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent. Experience in working with small animals (mice, rats, rabbits is highly desirable). The successful candidate must show proficiency in biochemistry and/or molecular biology. Academic rank at the level of Assistant /Associate Professor and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
