  • Responsibilities

    We are a systems neuroscience laboratory in the Department of Biology. We develop and employ novel two-photon microscopes and automated behavioral paradigms to address questions in neuroscience. We are seeking someone who can maintain and oversee the laboratory infrastructure and provide technical support to aid in research activities.

     

    Primary duties will include:

    1. Assisting in the construction and maintenance of instrumentation for optical recording/stimulation and behavior control/monitoring.
    2. Developing and maintaining software for data analysis and instrument control and automation for neuroscience applications.
    3. Developing and maintaining information technology for data management and processing.
    4. Helping to manage lab safety and regulatory permits, grant budgets, and purchasing of equipment and supplies. Individuals with previous research experience and a multi-disciplinary background in mathematics, physics, engineering, or computer science are encouraged to apply. Programming skills are required in the following languages: LABView, MATLAB, C++, and Python.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • 3 years of relevant work experience.
